A study day designed for health care associates who are conducting spirometry in a primary care setting. This day provides evidence based information on the preparation and performance of spirometry, and includes a practical session to help delegates gain the necessary skills to perform accurate spirometry tests.

What is spirometry/an overview of the measurement of lung function and basic anatomy and physiology of the lungs
Why spirometry is performed including diagnosis and review of asthma and COPD patients
Patient preparation, cautions and contraindications Maintenance of equipment
