M&K courses are utilised by individuals and managers to meet:
• Notification of Practice (NOP) - NMC requirements for registration renewal
• CPD requirements for continued professiona registration
• Healthcare Commission regulation and annual health-check needs

Continuing Professional Development (CPD): Each course displays the minimum CPD hours you will achieve by attending the course.

Buying in courses:

M&K can run all courses for your team at your workplace. Whether you need to train a handful or hundreds of staff, we call this M&K Onsite, see page 36 for further details.

Customised training for groups is the best choice when you require a higher degree of specification or you need to construct something unique.

The launch of M&K Publishing

The launch of M&K Publishing is alogical step in our evolution. M&K has a sound reputation for offering up to date clinical development solutions and in this vein we are seeking to publish books and other media, which fit this profile. M&K Publishing has already commissioned three books. If you would like to write or contribute material for a clinical book we would be pleased to hear from you. We are particularly keen to hear from expert professionals who continue to work in a clinical setting and feel there is a need for an up to date title for their speciality.

Continuing Professional Development with M&K
Continuing professional development (CPD) keeps professionals up to date and improves their practice. By bringing best practice into your organisation you can raise standards of care for your patients and clients.

Don’t forget, all UK registered nurses, have a statutory responsibility to keep updated professionally to remain on the register. In the UK the Nursing and Midwifery Council sets post-registration education and practice (PREP) requirements, which mean RNs must undertake a minimum of 35 hours CPD over three years. Similar systems are being devised by Allied Health Professionals. M&K are providers of quality CPD that is available all over the UK and Ireland. Established since 1992 our reputation is renown.

Meeting PREP requirements
‘When nurses and midwives re-register they must have undertaken at least five days (35 hours) of learning in the previous three years. This is called the PREP (CPD) standard. Practitioners can complete this 35 hours of learning in a wide variety of ways …’(NMC 2003)

M&K’s portfolio offers you a wide range of solutions to meet your PREP obligation, from advanced clinical skills such as Physical Assessment, to clinical specialist programmes through to personal and managerial development.
