Sending an individual staff member to an open scheduled course can be a convenient way for that person to learn new skills and gain new knowledge. But what if there are a number of people in your organisation who need professional development?
Then M&K’s in-house training is the most effective and economical solution for your organisation.
What is in-house training?
In-house training is when an M&K associate trainer comes to your site to teach a group of your staff, or when a course is held exclusively for your staff or group at a local venue. Trust and hospitals with a variety of sites spread geographically may choose in-house training which brings together people from each of their sites. Whoever is in the group, in-house training offers you the opportunity to support staff development on a topic of your choice, which is customised to your needs.
“The trainer was excellent, good scenario work, all very positive feedback from medics and nurses”
Human Resources Manager,
an independent health provider – 2007
When can training be delivered?
In-house training is scheduled at your convenience. It can be run during the day, in the evenings, or weekends. It can be designed as a single session or as multiple sessions.
What topics do we offer?
M&K have an ongoing scheduled programme of over 40 short clinical courses; these plus most clinical subjects can be offered. If you do not see what your organisation needs then please ask.
“The best training I think we have ever received”
Professional Development Lead, East Anglia – 2007
Is all in-house training customised?
The benefit of in-house training is that it can be tailored for your needs, whether you choose from a list of existing seminars or wish to create a new course. All of our scheduled courses can be taught as in-house training for your organisation. When you choose one of these topics you will be able to focus the emphasis of the course to your organisation’s specific needs. For example, we run minor illness and minor injuries courses, these can be combined into a customised minor emergencies programme.
“As usual a very friendly & efficient partnership,
the feedback from delegates is excellent”
Staff Development Manager, PCT in South Yorkshire – 2007
How much does it cost?
We charge a single base fee, which covers all training provision, our trainer’s expenses, course materials and certificates. As fees vary for each course please contact us for a quote. If you want to train eight people or more, inhouse training will probably be less expensive than booking them on to a scheduled open course.
“More than fulfilled expectations, tutor’s delivery was excellent, very knowledgeable, commented on by all attendees”
Nurse Practitioner, HM Prison Service, Scotland – 2007
