Orthopaedic X-ray Interpretation
Aimed at health professionals who request and interpret (including red dot analysis) plain X-ray of the limbs and the pelvis.
The day will be of particular interest to nurses and physiotherapists.
Course Content
IRMER considerations
Fracture interpretation and mis-interpretation
Upper and lower limb trauma, common presentions
Appearance of Osteo-arthritis and Rheumatoid Arthritis of the limbs
Plain fi lm analysis of the pelvis including trauma and common conditions encountered such as Perthes Disease and Slipped Upper Femoral Epiphysis (SUFE)
Normal and abnormal post-operative radiographs
Clinical case studies

- Develop theoretical underpinning for a range of commonly encountered radiographs
