Course Content

To understand what each group of drugs

To understand what each group of drugs do to the body
What the body does to the drugs
How the drugs get in and out of the body
Common side effects and contraindications
Induction agents – etomidate, metohexitone, thiopentone, ketamine, propofol
Inhalation agents – halothane, enflurane, isoflurane, sevofl urane, desflurane
Muscle relaxants – suxamethonium, pancuronium, vecuronium, mivacurium, rocuronium, cisatracurium
Opoids – fentanyl, alfentanil, sufentanil, morphine, codeine, papaveretum, pethidine, Remifentanil
Non Steroidal Anti-inflammatory Drugs (NSAID) - ketorolac, diclofenac
