When inserting a lubricated catheter the student will feel the normal restrictions caused by the mucosal folds, bulbous urethra and the internal urethral sphincter just prior
to the entrance to the bladder.
When the bladder is successfully entered, water will flow
from the catheter.

The torso of a middle-aged woman with the thighs
abducted for proper positioning during catheterisation.
The external genitalia and perineum are moulded realistically, and the labia minora can be spread apart to reveal clitoris, urethral orifice and vaginal introitus.
Constructed with bladder reservoir, patent urethra and a valve simulating the internal urethral sphincter.
Normal feeling of resistance and pressure is experienced as the lubricated catheter is passed through the urethra, past
the sphincter and into the bladder. After successfully
entering the bladder, water will flow from the catheter.
