Auscultation Trainer & Smartscope
Instructor selects from a menu of heart & lung conditions by
wireless remote control
Manikin presents itself as a real patient without visible auscilation sites
Student must palpate to identify correct ausculation locations, and will hear different heart and lung sounds as the Smartscope is moved to different locations on the manikin.
A diagnosis of condition selected by instructor can be made by comparing the variations in sounds occurring at different sites - just like with a real patient.
Lung sounds can be detected on posterior surface and students can practice
ausculation at seven anterior heart sites, heart sounds for each condition will change as the student moves from site to site.
Remote control does not have to be pointed directly at manikin or stethescope to operate.
One remote control will operate multiple sets of smartscopes and manikins simultaneously.
Excellent for group instruction, range is 30m for remote access.
